What It's All About

This is my first post ever as a "blogger."  Thankfully, I'm not sitting here wondering what in the world I should say. I really want to clarify what I want this blog to be about.  This may change and turn into something that takes on a life of it's own, but I think we'll cross that bridge when we come to it (and I'd love if you'd come along for the ride!)

So, what is passionate living all about?  Well, some may think it's about animal cruelty, and a vegetarian or vegan diet.  Some may think it's living everyday to the fullest.  You, for all I know, may think that living passionately is about adventure; climbing, hiking, biking and camping.  For me though, in all honestly, it's pretty much every one of these things, and much more.  Living passionately to me is about taking what comes at you with all you've got and thanking God for the good and the bad.

I'd love to know what your passionate about though, and what you'd like to see on this blog most.  Take my poll at the bottom of the page to tell me what you'd like me to write about, for you to read!

Right now, I have to share something that I'm very passionate about.  It's on my mind, mainly, because in two weeks, I'll be doing it.  Yes, I'll be doing something I'm passionate about! Actually, two things!  In two weeks, I'll be traveling to Africa.  This covers my passion to travel (and I've never been out of the country - I've actually barely been outside of Kansas!)

What is the second passion you ask?  While in Africa, I'll be staying at a children's home for orphaned and abandoned children.  It is a huge passion of mine to volunteer and help others (which is one reason I have a degree in Sociology).  I feel so blessed to get to do this - as part of finishing that degree I mentioned in fact.

I'm very much looking forward to being there, learning about the culture, caring for the kids and helping the "moms," or the women that regularly work in the home.  Other than that, I'll be taking many pictures (which I plan to post some of here after the trip).  I also plan to write about my trip once I return to the U.S. (and I hope you'll be here to enjoy it with me!)

Just so you don't forget about this amazing blog you just found (I'm very confident that it is amazing) be sure to either bookmark Passionate Living, or, better yet, sign-up to get any new content I post sent to your e-mail. Awesome right? I know.

Well, that's all I've got for now (it's actually more than I planned to write.) Don't forget to take my poll down below and I'll see ya next time!

Live Passionately,
Brandi
