Live Life Outside the Box

Welcome to my third day of the Live Your Legend Start-A-Blog Challenge. I was traveling yesterday and was unable to write a post. But here I am again, back to it!

Today's writing prompt is about what people thank me for and what I love helping people with and would do if I didn't get paid. There is something I do already, that I think I've been doing for much of my life, that I don't think I've really ever gotten paid for. That is simply giving advice and sharing my ideas with others.

It seems when I talk to friends and family I'm generally listening to problems that they are having and giving feedback in the form of advice or different ways I might go about dealing with the same situation. I feel like what I generally say has not already been thought of by my friend or family member and they are typically grateful. To me, this is no big deal. It makes me feel good to help, but there is certainly a big part of me that feels as though I really didn't do anything. I really just shared my thoughts and ideas.

I love sharing my thoughts and ideas. More than ever, I think they are outside the norm and therefore come across much of the time as more thoughtful than mainstream ideas. I enjoy having these conversations with people. In fact, philosophical thought and discussion - the what ifs - is one of my favorite pastimes. Well, other than seeking out knowledge about "new-to-me" ideas.

Since I feel as though I think outside the box about many things, I would love to help others to expand their perceptions of the world. I would love to spend my life helping others to explore different topics and ways of thinking about the world.

We've all been conditioned to think a certain way about things, and we tend to believe that some of this is set in stone and therefore feel there is only one answer to the problem we face. If we could all explore the different solutions being presented, we could see that there is a multitude of ideas on how to solve all of our problems.

Overall, if we were all able to see the multitude of possibilities, I think we could make the world into a much better place. Don't get me wrong, its not as if I know everything and I'm somehow enlightened. But we can only make decisions based on the information we have at the time. I feel like a LOT of the information the mainstream is giving us is FALSE. It's time to wake up. It's time to face the music. And I would be happy to help anyone who is ready.
